If I took a snap shot of my life 15 years ago you would have seen me ordering take out or eating a giant bowl of ice cream before bed. We are all capable of making changes if we feel strongly enough that we want to. We just need the right tools and proper support to finally make it happen.

 

“I’m not into that tree-hugging, hippie, holistic lifestyle.”

That’s ok. Don’t get me wrong, I love trees and don’t mind hugging a few now and then, but it is certainly not necessary to improve your well-being. In fact, none of my clients have ever fit that description. I work with people where they are at RIGHT NOW, and help them to work towards the vision they wish to create for their FUTURE. What ever your starting point is, it’s just right.

Let me make it clear: I do NOT believe in deprivation. Are you going to have to make changes? Of, course. If you were exactly where you wanted to be you wouldn’t be reading this. Are the changes going to be painful? NEVER. The process should be fun, inspiring and rewarding. It’s not about taking away everything you love and replacing them with the things you dislike. Those types of approaches never last long term. It’s about learning new and fun ways to incorporate nutritious foods, techniques to help you unwind, de-stress and get more in touch with yourself, move your body in a way that feels good for you, and to listen to your gut.

 

“I just don’t have the time.”

I get it; life is busy. But, the fact is we all have the same 24 hours in our day. Sure, yours might seem more hectic than your neighbor’s, but in reality, we get to choose what we commit ourselves to and how we spend our time.  If you want something enough, you MAKE the time.  By slowly introducing the tools and techniques that I teach you, you won’t need to carve out several hours a day, each day. You will be able to apply these tools in a way that makes you feel more grounded and relaxed, rather than overwhelmed.

I can tell you from first hand experience, that this mentality is detrimental to anyone’s well-being. After my own setbacks and struggles, I was forced to re-examine my life. I found that I was giving too much (physically, emotionally, and mentally) and there was nothing left to support me. My tank was running on empty. It caught up to me in a big way. The most important message I can leave you with is that if you aren’t taking care of yourself, you can’t possible take care of everyone else long term. Something eventually has to give. Prioritize yourself. Value yourself as much as you would your own child, partner or friend. You are just as worthy of balance, health, love and joy as anyone else.
